Persons debut single “You Won’t” is a hell of an alt-rock jam. This is a new band that’s composed of veteran NYC rock musicians who’ve joined forces to save the lost art of riffage. Persons sound is packed to the brim with catchy hooks, snappy rhythms, and the oh so rare but always appreciated tri-vocal [aka three singers!] attack that helps their debut track instantly stand out. Still, in their infancy, the band already displays a shocking mastery of the alternative rock and power pop sounds, and the final minute of “You Won’t” has enough explosive vocal harmonies to make Brian Wilson smile. In other words, check this song out.
