GLOB’S NEW SONG, “MORIARTY” IS PROFOUNDLY MOVING

GLOB may be relatively new to the indie scene, only hitting the ground running with their 2022 debut—but they are already killing the game. This project has been a labor of love, stemming from the creative genius of high school sweethearts Thomas James and Lily Swaenko, who have an undeniable chemistry that shows through even in their recordings.

Their newest effort, “Moriarty” is beautiful and moving; inspired by the passing of a friend, the song is a celebration of life. It is the group’s 5th release this year, and it sets a very high precedent for anything they will release moving forward. This song is sonically stunning, like a novel whose words jump off the page.

There is a unique blend of rock and indie sounds featured throughout the track. The build at the bridge really ties everything together, like a nice bow atop your favorite birthday gift. It is amazing what can be created by people who simply love each other and have a mutual love for creating.

Though the group began from quarantine blues, their vivid sonic landscape has fantastical elements that can and should be expanded upon. The vibes are truly immaculate.
