BROKE ROYALS EMBRACE THEIR INSECURITIES ON NEW SINGLE “GOLDBRICK CHAMPION”

DC rock four-piece Broke Royals look to rewrite their doubts “turning negative self-talk into positive affirmations” in their brand new single “Goldbrick Champion”. This time the group is joined by fellow DC act Bartees Strange producing a reflective electronic indie rock record.

Starting with the iconic rhythm of the CR-78 Roland drum machine, the group then explores a healthy 80’s inspired pop-rock blend flaunting memorable synth melodies, infectious bass groove, and dreamy guitar tones. Inspired by the likes of The Cure and New Order, the group preaches the new single to resonate with those of us feeling overwhelmed over this year, which sort of seems to be everyone.

Using their frustration of lack of income as well the many other disappointments that have come with 2020, Broke Royals embraces their insecurities to craft their “80’s inspired slacker anthem”.
